I’m Eric, the founder of Fluent Fútbol and a lifelong supporter of Real Madrid. My passion for football began as a child and has since taken me across continents, from Shanghai to Madrid, from Bergamo to Moscow, following our beautiful game.

When I first travelled to Spain , I realised that football more than goals or trophies, it was a language of its own. Not knowing Spanish made me feel like a spectator on the outside, even among thousands of fans wearing the same shirt. That moment sparked a journey of curiosity where I began learning Spanish through football itself, studying interviews, commentaries, and articles until I could not only understand the game but live it in another culture. 

Over time, that discovery evolved into Fluent Fútbol, an educational platform that uses football to bridge language and cultural barriers as I wanted to help fellow football fans learn Spanish and culture the same way I did, through fútbol. What started as a small idea to help friends learn Spanish through their love of the game has grown into an international initiative, now partnering with professional Spanish clubs such as CF Intercity and CF Fuenlabrada. Together, we create content that helps fans connect with local traditions, language, and identity through the sport they love.
